Ideal Damage Types

Maco / Honorguard XI Set + Pulsewave Rifle.

Note: 2 characters using a single damage type (character 1/2 have disruptor, 3/4 have antirproton, 5 has tetryon) means the borg adapt twice as fast. If the borg adapt too fast, use a unique damage type per team member.

People

Take your pick, stick to the job.

  1. Traci?
    • Sci: Leads the movement toward the shield, activates turrets, backs up x2
  2. Maria?
    • Engineer: supports activator, attacks turrets, holds Regenerator 3
  3. x
    • Follows x2, drops bombs, Kills final plasma turret, holds 2.
  4. x
    • (best as tac or sci) Moves between 1/2 providing additional fire support against borg. (person who's died a lot thus far)
  5. x
    • (Eng/Tac) remains at 1 until shield goes down.


Movement

Process is activate transformer, kill turret, kill borg.

  • Transformer 1
    1. moves to far end of turret 1
    2. moves to far end of turret 1
    3. moves to near end of turret 1
    4. moves to near end of turret 1
    5. activates transformer
      • Turret 1
        1. fights turret, changes attack to plasma turret
        2. fights turret, changes attack to plasma turret
        3. places bomb, kills third plasma turret, attacks nearby borg
        4. fights turret, changes attack to kill borg
        5. fights turret, changes attack to kill borg
        • ​proceed forward only one borg remains
  • Transformer 2
    1. runs ahead to activate transformer 2 when 2 plasma turrets go down
    2. sticks around a bit after 1 to attack borg, moves to kill turret 2 when its available
    3. sticks around a bit after 1 to attack borg, moves to kill turret 2 when its available
    4. finishes off borg at 1, also plasma turret, moves between transformer 1/2 as needed
      • Turret 2
        1. ​attacks turret 2, moves to plasma turrets
        2. ​attacks turret 2, moves to plasma turrets
        3. places bomb, kills third plasma turret, defends Transformer 2
        4. moves between transformer 1/2
        5. still at transformer 1, defending!
  • Transformer 3
    1. activates transformer 3 when 2 plasma turrets are down
    2. attacks borg at transformer 2 until 3 is active, moves to tr3, defends
    3. kills third plasma turret, defends transformer 2
    4. moves between transformers 1/2 as needed
    5. yep.... still at 1.
  • Transformer 4
    1. activates transformer 4, moves to help with transformer 3.
      • ​When your area is clear, move backward to help with borg clearance until the gate is down.

The "Top Area"

Generally speaking, you can filter borg into a bottle neck between the hill on the left and the large borg column. This is the best place to attack from and usually results in the least deaths. when in doubt, one character will snipe or lure a borg back to the rest of the group waiting near the rock

Boss Strategy

There are two known strategies for this. regardless, stay as far away from one-another as possible as a chain attack is used by the boss which will take you all down if you're close.

Repeat: STAY AWAY FROM EACH OTHER!

  1. A sniper in the back right can usually take the boss down without his attention
  2. Often times a medkit sci character can tank the boss while going melee on him, this is usually ended when someone gets too close.
  3. It's possible to actually overwhelm the boss, though this idea doesn't always work out.
